The Brokerage Sales Trainer is responsible for developing new trainees into established brokers that meet sales quotas on a consistent basis. The trainer will facilitate logistics and sales classes as well as hands on training to new employees of the brokerage department. The trainer will evaluate trainees, help them address areas which need improvement, increase performance, and support the overall training efforts within the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieve departmental sales goals through successful training of new employees
Teach, develop and design sales training programs
Support development of trainees
Observe and critique individuals with constructive criticism and feedback
Record and report training metrics
Provide feedback to managers on new hire performance
Help identify trends/gaps within the department
Able to think analytically and strategically with a process and systems orientation
Able to work as a team player
Uses independent judgment to create and implement policy and procedure
Maintains High integrity - honors commitments and the Values of LeSaint
Organizational understanding (of client)
Willingness and ability to share knowledge with others
Willingness to travel as needed (minimal percent of time)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University or 2-3 years related transportation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common transportation information and data. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, carriers, or other areas within LeSaint. Ability to effectively present information to both perspective as well as existing customers.
Strong desktop computer skills. Must have excellent experience and knowledge in Microsoft office products including exceptional skills in Excel.
Strong analytical skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
